What are some natural remedies for mental illnesses?

Brigitta asked:
I need some “mind soothing” natural remedies. I just ordered some stuff actually called “mind soothe” but I was wondering if there is anyone who uses aroma therapy or anything else that is unusual and if it actually helps. In addition to medication. I am trying to take a little control myself in getting myself to feel better.
